Default Fatboy, Reckless Fairing issues

So I bought a Reckless Fairing from a Member on here a few months ago. I finally started the build up process since colder/windier weather is upcoming soon. So I ordered the HD Windshield Hardware kit # 58595-97 - (That should help some people - it took me forever to locate that part number), anyways I started to bolt the HD Hardware kit on and then the Reckless fairing and Lo and Behold the Fairing is not lining up with the Hardware. When I bought the fairing it was New (Never used) from a Member that said it was for a Softail Deluxe. I actually called Reckless to confirm that it fit and I was told it would - however now that I am finally bolting it on - I see differently. The reason it took me so long was because I bought the Fairing with Stereo cutouts so I was doing research and I was acquiring all the Stereo Stuff to install before I test fit and then send out to paint. Any other Fatboy member have issues with their Fairing not being able to mount onto the HD Windshield hardware??? I have to add approximately 4-5 washers (as you can see in the pics below) to space the bracket out to fit the bottom but the top mount is a whole nother story. I took pics - hopefully they will show up - any help will definetly be helpful as I've already spent more then enough money on this and my bday gift from wifey was that she was gonna pay to get it painted. OHH BTW I have an 01 Fatboy.

I have a woodys fairing on my 06 fb. What I think is going on is that it may have been set up to ran with a light bar as mine was. What I did was measure the space (5washers you have) then headed to ACE and bought solid chrome spacer. Or add a light bar.

Not sure which hardware you got? You need the kit that is for running HD windshields WITH aux lights/passing lamps. AND you may still have to grind the spacers down just a bit.

Thanks - I was also thinking of a way to McGyver it - but like my wife tells me - "It's a HARLEY - you gotta step up the game". lol

This is the Hardware that I bought -

so what I see that you guys are telling me is that I needed to buy the Hardware for mounting a windshield with a Lightbar - anyone happen to have a Part Number???

On a Side Note: I got a call yesterday morning from my buddy asking me if I wanted to go for a ride so me and the wife went out on an unexpected Sunday "BRISK" ride. I could've definetely benefitted from the Fairing even if just to keep most the cold air off me.

And just so I get it right you guys are talking about the Hardware kit for the "AUX" lighting not the "FOG/PASSING LAMPS" - Correct??

Auxiliary lights and passing lamps are two names for the same thing.

I think maybe you got the wrong hardware kit. My quick detatch hardware kit came with a pair of spacers to use in place of the light bar for bikes that do not have one installed. Check out figure 2 parts 5 and 7.

Looks like your hardware kit is made for shields for bikes without the aux light bar. Seems your fairing is designed to work with the light bar. My docking kit hardware was part number 57184-05. Hope this helps.

You are absolutely "Correct" - that 57184-05 is what I just ordered yesterday with the hopes that it "might" work. I am so glad to hear your confirmation that it will work - THANK YOU very much for your help.
