Default Heritage seat removal

Hi all. Just picked up a 2000 Heritage Classic with 347 original miles on her! Loving this ride after 23 years on my FXR shovel. I want to remove the pillion pad. im wondering if the torx screws holding them on have nuts Under the fender that come off or if the hardware under the fender is part of the fender itself? Seems like it could be a PITA to put back on if it's a nut that comes off. Thanks!

You shouldn't have a problem. The nut is built into the fender. It won't come off.

Saw a post on CL. No pic just a description. Turns out a guy bought it new off the showroom floor without even having a MC license with the intention of getting one. He never did. Looked at it all these years and suddenly he's 76 and his wife said time to sell. He paid low 20's for it and saved it for me to pick up for $8500. Oh, and it came with unused bags and windshield, all fluids and gas tank flushed and a new battery!

Damn, that's a bargain. The nut is welded to the fender.

No problem as stated above with the pillion seat. I take mine off and put it on frequently. I like the look without it, but have to return it so my wife can go out with me. Post up a picture of that new bike of yours.
