Any issues with just a throttle cable and no idle on a fuel injected bike? Getting ready to buy cables for my clip on project for my 08 rocker and I'm wondering if I can just get a throttle cable and no idle.
Trying to keep the look as clean as possible.
Any good reason why I shouldn't just run one cable?
Dammit man! Those feckin clip ons aren't done yet?!?! What you been doin?
I went internal with mine, which is only one cable. No problems so far, the return spring on the throttle body is plenty strong to return it to idle. Not totally sure, but I would think you'd be able to run just the one standard cable. I don't see why you'd need anything special.....
Cant tell u about the new bikes, but all our old bikes through shovel was one cable only. The last throttle assembly I bought came from tractor supply. Carb spring plenty strong.

Lolololol. They're not done yet bro. I have a good reason though lol. Every time I went down to the garage to take measurements for the cables i always said **** it, I'd rather ride than measure loolol. Can't blame me for that man!!
Now that the cold weather has really come to stay in Dirty Jersey I had the time to measure.
Thanks for the input fellers. I think I'm gonna go with just a throttle cable.
Where there is a will there is a way brother. I wanted internals, like I obviously did, I wouldn't have gone without them. I guess I mean I wouldn't have apes without them. Keep me posted Dude.
