Bike in Heated Storage....Bad
I don't think there's really any other reason to park with wheels off the ground unless the bike's going to be stationary for more than a few months.
Small world....And Yes, Derek is the Man and has done all the work on my bike...in fact it's probably time for a 12 pack of Coors again - LOL
So chances are we've met? I'm the Old pudgy guy with the beard and black leather Jacket....remember?

About three years ago a friend and I were sitting in my garage having a few beers and we decided to commit to "a ride" at least once a month the entire winter.
We determined that "a ride" was defined as at least a 30 minute uninterupted ride where-as the speeds had to at least get up to 45 mph.
For the past two winters I can say I've met the challange.
I will note though there were some days that I questioned my sanity.
Being an active Patriot Guard Rider helps make the decision to ride a little easier.
I figure a Veteran if asked of his or her family, deserves a final escort and my discomfort isn't really that important. I do dress warmly.
I did ride on one funeral when it was 15 degrees out.
That was just plain unsafe and I'll never do that again.
For Patriot missions, 32 degrees is pretty much my limit.
Anything colder than that just isn't safe.

What a great Kid! A really nice addition to that department. Can't wait to tell her I am talking with her dad...she's gonna love that.

Helps keep me sane during the winter...ok, partially sane...
Ps we usually get some real good late fall riding in, not this year...freezing rain right now...time for the sleds...
