I will be consulting with an attorney this week to find out my options, Though I really like the bike,I feel this is an unethical and underhanded way to conduct buisness. I would think a reputable dealer would be more honest and forthrightin their buisness dealings.If I had not found this incriminating document,This would have been buried and never come to the surface. Damned dishonest way to conduct buisness.I will keep you all informed on what attorney has to say about this,and maybe prevent someone else from incurring this type of reprehensable acts. I would be interested in what other Harley dealers do in these same circumstances,and how many of us are riding on "rebuilt" bikes and have no knolwledge of what their bikes true history is.

Good for you. Dealers like this should be punished harshly. Even it it's just a boatload of bad publicity. Good luck let us know what happens.

Boy do I smell a free ride out of this mess.
If you have indisputable proof about all this, I would do this;

I like the idea of calmer heads prevailing as mentioned above. I'd figure out a way to get it touch with the head guy at the dealer. Tell him what you've found out and see what his response is....If he gets hostile/blows you off then just say OK, I just wanted to give you the opportunity to make things right, Calmy leave andthen go to the attorney and see what your options are. If the Dealer offers something cheesy, then say you were expecting quite a bit more than that to help protect his reputation. Since this is a very significant transaction that would certainly hurt his reputation if word were ever diseminated over the web or harley type magazines and reported to HD MoCo (yes the MoCo may not be liable for an individual dealer, but the product name will suffer with bad publicity.......

But I definitely agree with the previous post...Calm heads prevail.

I'm dying to see how this one plays out...Who needs the Sopranos...

I don't care if it was 100% in like new condition at a smokin price. Nobody wants a bike that's been laid down and repaired. Like folks have already mentioned. Give the dealer EVERY chance to make it right before consulting an attorney, once you do that and the dealership finds out, your committed to the end.

I could also say that you could go to the manager, but theres a good chance he knows the condition of EVERY bike in his inventory, if he didn't say anything to you about the bike then he's as guilty as the salespeople.

Unfortunate as it may be, give the dealership the opportunity to make it right before proceeding. Keepus informed.

I'm withholding name of stealerops Dealer!? untill I speak to a law degree this week.Withholding stealerops,dealers!? name might improve options. If no legal options exist, then I'll pursue my own. Keep you posted.

Hey 06Train...A simple solution to that Click..Click...Boom thing....Now I'm no munitions/firearms expert, but do pistols with silencers make that sound.....Or are you looking for the shock effect for any surrounding bystanders??
