I,m not going to change the bar before riding a while with the batwing. Maybe in the summer when I ride a lot without the batwing local and not on the highway

I too just bought an '08 Fatboy, and after having cut my teeth on a Softail with 18's, I tried the batwing thing last year and, well, here I am (though not as high as 18's)...good luck with the fairing, I don't understand how if you like the wind you went that direction. I found the fairing caused more turbulence than the clean wind you get from riding without one. If it's a hand position thing, fists in the wind and apes for the win.
