Has anyone installed parts from other bikes on their deuce? Ex. Gas tank from another softail or fenders.. Night train etc.... Any issues? I'm looking to mount a night train tank on my bike (03 deuce).. Im carb'd so I am gonna use carb friendly tanks.
Pretty sure the rear mounting point at least won't work. Gonna be short a couple inches.
Front fender won't work, the mounting points are different.
Not sure about the rear fender, but an educated guess is that won't work either for the same reason as above.
Just about everything else will fit though.
I'm not worried about the front fender..mainly tank and rear fender..eventual plan is heartland kit or lucky sucker kit for the rear.. Mainly tank mounting points will be different then, right? A little weld will fix it
As far as I know yes, the mount at rear is different. I think the front is the same.
Good luck.
Out of curiosity, why do you want to do this? The tank is one of the signature pieces.
