Dont like floorboards .... sorry. You have got a bike with agressive style, and the floorboards are for classical bikes or old school bikes. Also, the floorboards are very ugly. Is my opinion.
If your bike sits in you lounge room as a show piece then forward controls look great, but if you do many long trips like I do than comfort is much more important than aggressive looks, and I must say I actually prefer the look of the black floorboards to forward controls. Is my opinion.

Thing is I love the look of the breakout with the floorboards and I am comfortable on it now, don't like windscreens or bags, like the open look. Just saying..
That is great! If not too much trouble, can you document, with photos, the process?
And forget about floorboard-haters comments. It is all about being comfortable in your ride. I like the looks of those black floorboards on them.
Got my floorboards installed. I'll post the process and some tips with a couple pictures in my project thread so as to not clutter up and hijack 24v's further.
The people that say, "If you want a bike that does __________ you should have bought _________.",seriously crack me up.
Tell you what, when you pay my payment, you can tell me what bike to ride. Until that day comes I am going to build and ride my bike how I see fit.
I can tell you this, a Breakout with floorboards looks better than a Road King with a 250 back tire.

I've had a chance to ride a couple times now with the boards installed. Fairly short rides just to and from work but better than nothing. The boards are very comfortable on the bike. Even on short rides around town I can tell a big difference and I really like them. Now to just find the boards I actually want on there. So far I like Performance Machine contour boards but I'm trying to find a set used.
Install of the brackets was very easy. As long as you have the few tools needed and a way to support the bike while you change the kickstand side the rest is simple. Thanks to everyone who has provided information about floorboards on this forum and especially to 24v and xlr8it for their input in this thread.

Who open a thread about his bike, he must accept all type of opinions.
