haha yeah it sure is. Once i started seeing where you were going with this project I couldn't stop. I have been running ideas through my head for months now about how I want to make my deuce look. Funds are my big issue so i'll be doing a little at a time. I figure in 2-3 years I'll have the bike where I want it haha.
One quick question, you have any idea on the weight difference between the stock front forks and the springer front end?
if you work out exactly what you want, and not chop and change like me, that'll save you lots
When I pulled my old front end off and put the springer straight on, I honestly felt no difference in weight. I think the factory HD springers would be quite a bit heavier though, judging by the thicker chunky construction, the addition of a shock in some models and just for the fact that genuine parts always seam to be heavier in my experience. Don't quote me on that though I've never picked up a factory springer
That's part of the reason aside from funds that I am waiting to start. I want to do it once and not have to make a lot of changes. Anyway, this thread isn't about me and my bike it's about you so let's get back on track with that. Have you painted your fender yet?
