Gnarly spot on, my head was going over everything that could go wrong so I'm glad no problems so far.
Freak the state i love in here in Australia, only one inspection and that's when you first registers a bike in your name. It is illegal so police can issue a ticket. So are many things on this bike. I will be getting around to making a front fender setup that's easily attached for longer rides I might get caught in the rain
alla****inuha!!! What I figured it would sound like. Pure big ole giant sized potatoes rollin in a big wooden barrel in a bat cave.
What was that first false start caused from? Was it a compression thing or a electric switch you forgot you had hidden behind the horn ( ; LOL
not sure yet, will see if it's a reecurring problem on first starts when I start riding it. Theres no horn at all on this bike. The only switch is the one in front of the seat. Air suspension switches and the tank shift digital displays reset button are up under the tank
Haha that's the one splattt. had me thinking wtf, though I was running on minimal sleep at the time
Hillbilly hopefully not, time will tell. Have a crack at bleeding brakes tomorrow and cleaning up the wiring in the battery compartment so maybe it will be rideable in the next 48 hours.
Sat down and come up with an idea to better the rear fender with some more metal fabrication to it, along with designing the fender struts to all be one piece with the fender. Would like a more finished look, like its a full custom metal fabricated job rather then a cut out of a fender blank and bolt some struts on job, like I originally done. Changing the fender paint to matching it with the tank this time in hemi orange with black decals
yesterday I finally took it for a test run. All I can say is first impression were this thing feels like I'm riding a full blown drag bike on the street, it does not feel right to be riding it on the road in any way shape or form lol. Picking up the revs to cruising speed it just sounds really angry, and with being so extremely low, and then seat being on the frame and so far back, the stretched forward over the tank position feels more pro street. That bare minimum look up front is just adds to that feeling you're riding something on the road you probably shouldn't be. But yeah, how low you are to the ground and how loud and cranky it sounds is just awesome. Being new internals I didn't want to hurt them while running it in, but I have it a couple quick short half throttle blurts and man you can feel it get very light in the front end fast, like it wants to lift. Bare in mind I've taken off at least 40-50kg in weight, not to mention I myself lost a lot of weight over recent months too, I'm sure it'll embarrass quite a few of the 120r's getting around here. I can only imagine what a performance pipe and good tune would do ontop of that. The bike being so much lighter I feel really made the biggest difference overall.
Doing more metal fab work on the rear fender to really make the fender a one off piece. The wiring under the seat still needs to be cleaned up I just through some black foam there and through the seat on for the ride, had to go away today so I was keen to test it out before I left
