Ok not going to make the show next weekend anymore but still getting things done.
Here's a sneak peak on the rear fender rolled edge. Due to the super heavy 13g steel the fender is originally made out of, it was far too heavy for what we have to roll the edge, but my magician metal worker came up with this brilliant idea that seems to be working out so far. If this wasn't to work out, the whole fender would have to be re-made again out of liter gauge steel
Far from finished, but im liking it so much so far I had to share
I like it!!! how is it being done?? are you adding/welding on a piece??
You got it, shaping and rolling a strip out of lighter gauge steel and welding it in place. As simple as it sounds it's a lot more difficult then being able to though a fender on the English wheel and rolling it. This way has to be done carefully piece by piece. I'm lucky enough to have my good mate working with me in the shop to take **** like this to the next level. A thick piece of wire will then be put under the rolled edge lip to help shape and add strength.
Not for sale yet, but I just getting an idea on numbers and sizes. A good friend playing around with designs for me and this is something along the lines to be printed.
Due to a number of requests now, I'm going to get some shirts, hats and stickers made up. So anyone who would be interested, shoot me an email with what you'd be interest in an what size. When I roll something out I will contact you back via email. Nothing certain just yet I'm just getting an idea on how many and what. Cheers!
