Default Mock Up For New Bars on Blackline

I bought new bars for the Blackline, but I now need to mock them up so I can measure for cables. With the bars being internally wired, is it necessary to remove the tank and disconnect the harnesses, or can I disconnect at the controls? I don't want to get too far into the process if the bars don't suit me.

I just swapped out the bars on my Blackline, just take out the the tank bolts and slide it back a few inches, you'll have to unclip the fuel line (just push up the collar and it unclips) there is a bolt under the console bar and shield if you haven't taken it off before. The controls connector plugs are right there..they fit through the holes in the bars for the internal wiring so no need to take connectors apart. It's actually a pretty easy job. Make sure you thread lock those new bars and crank the nuts tight.

How difficult was it to break loose the bolts on the stock bars? I'm never the smallest or weakest guy at the bar, but I"m having a hell of a time getting these things to move. Any tips?

Got the bars loose, but I'm going to hold off on trying to install the new ones myself. Will either set money aside until I can afford to have the dealership install them, or I'll find someone local who doesn't mind helping for a few bucks. This will also give me time to order cables and any necessary extras without feeling like I'm being rushed because the bike is torn apart.
