Hello everybody, i recently purchased the 12 chrome bolts and washers from ACE Hardware that are on the rear of the Deluxe body through the fender and other areas which normally come in an ugly silver torx and purchased them in Chrome button style with Hex. I purchased the exact length and thread as stock.
My question is the dealer sheet says it should be grade 5 bolts but the one in Ace Hardware doesn't say a grade. Has anybody had an experience with these or have any idea what grade they are? The person in ACE wasn't sure....its a whole section dedicated to chrome nuts, bolts, caps, etc with pictures of motorcycles and cars...but wanted to be on the safe side.
Also, by anychance does anyone know the torque specs for these 12?

Allen bolts, even button head, are typically grade 8 or higher. You'll rarely ever see a gede on Allen's unless they exceed that. You should have no worries
Nope, it has alot of chrome, but not the 12 bolts in the rear section of the bike. Most are covered by the saddlebags, and two depending on the angle you might not see either which are under the seat almost. I would think for all the $$$ it would come standard.

I would take it back and demand a full refund!
Just kidding. Its a Harley they have to leave something for you to fiddle with.
