Default Saddle Bag Hardware

I need some help here. I have been wanting to add detachable bags to my Fatboy. I have the Detachable backrest and rack. The bolts and rig for these look nice.

I went to the dealer and asked about the hardware and bushings for the the detachable bags. The first kit had blue-ish bolts and bushings. the shank on the bolts did were threaded to the head of the bold. these were not chrome. Frankly, I thought they would look crappy for a finnised look with no bags. Had the dealer order the same kit. Same deal 6 blue-ish bolts, and bushings. I know you can do the docking point cover deal. Seems to me for 70 bucks, HD could put a kit together that would look nice with the detachables removed.

Anyone else worked this experience for detachables on their ride and come up with alternatives? I dont want my bike to look crappy with the bags off.70 bucks for 6 bolts and bushings seems expensive for non chrome bolts.

Thanks!!!

Default RE: Saddle Bag Hardware

buy Easy Brackets with the version that allows detachable sissybar.
then you can add just about any type of non-detachable saddlebags and make them detachable
call the bag maker or email em and ask if it would fit ur bike after getting your easy brackets
