Default Best forward Control Extensions?

Ok tall riders, what are the best forward control extnsions for softails? I just noticed that Harley has a set for the softail in their catalog. It appears that they do not make one for Dyna. I found that alittle odd. It also appears that they make two sets: One that is a high zoot chrome, or black diecast setup and another which is merely a stamped mount and extended cable/linkage for the OEM stuff. My question is whether they are as good/better than the aftermarket products from Kuryakyn, etc.

Thanks,

John

I don't know if they are better but I like them. I got the Harley chrome 3" extention kit on Ebay. I wanna say I paid around 350 for the kit. It's definitly a differance. Comes with the longer shift linkage and rear steel braided brake line. It was pretty easy to install, the hardest part was reinstalling the rear master cylinder.

I can't say they are the best or not, but I installed the Ness 3" on a'06 night train - very nice. Brake switch and bleeding are the only PITA, and you will have that with any kit.

The best at doing what?

Surely you install them to do a job which I think they all do. Some just look different to others.

I've got the Ness extensions and they do exactly what they're meant to i.e. give me more leg room
