Default forward control extensions

hey guys, im only 5' 8" but feel like i could use a set of 3" forward control extensions. id much rather ride with my legs straight out so ive been putting my heels on the footpegs. question is, is 3" going to be to much or will i achieve what im looking for? and this is for an 08 train.

Check Accutronix, it seems to me I recall they have a +3 kit. Not sure about for your bike though. HHI might have something too (Hawg Halter Inc.). Remember, there are a few obstacles with linkage, kickstand mount, and brake line (that's an easy one), but the cost's add up quickly. I think I'm gonna go with the Kuryakyn Mark 4's. Check them out too. Check the fit for your bike.... http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/17/IMID/616

I know several guys who've used the Ness kit, and I've heard nothing but good things from them...

Ness Kit for me too, it was inexpensive and easy to install. Only thing is I wasn't comfortable with the increased lean from the kick stand being extend. The bike was secure, I just didn't like the look of it so I installed a Telescopic Ness Kick Stand. goodluck

I use the Arlen Ness kit on my 07 Train, and it will fit yours also I believe. Great kit.

Paid like $179 or something from my local HD. They recommended that kit over all the other ones.

i do jcmer, I am 6ft 1, and put a 3inch extension on my forwards on my dyna superglide and took them back off. Felt to stretched out. But depends on your riding. In town just riding around felt fine but we run hard on the highway and the twisties and it felt like work to keep my feet on the pegs. Just a thought I put the forwards back to factory and did some more riding and found they were perfect especially at 70mph and in the twisties.
