Both are great shields. I have the HD kingsize in black for my LO and my sun has a Memphis shades fat on his bike. Both are detachable and cost about the same. I like the HD one better as it detaches quicker.

When you say Memphis Shades are you referring to their Batwing or their regular windshield? I battled this dilemma a million times over and over in my head..... do I get the Memphis Shades Batwing or the Harley Davidson Kingsize Quick-detach.

I like the styling of both honestly and it comes down to what YOU like best and which route you take your bike style-wise!

I chose to go with a new gloss-black framed HD Kingsized Detachable windshield:

I took the actual windshield out and sold it.... keeping only the gloss-black framework and mounting hardware. I replaced the fugly HD clear windshield with an 18" Light Tint Long Ride Shields Recurve windshield. The recurve allows me to run a shorter and IMO, better looking windshield with the same or better protection of the flat wall windshield Harley sells.

I chose this windshield over the Memphis Shades Batwing because I like the look of the Harley windshield framework in black on the Lo and the light tint on the LRS windshield looks awesome without hindering your night riding clarity. I also went this route because it meant I could keep my front turn signals hanging on the bars instead of re-routing the wiring or buying some kit to move my signals to the front forks.... to clear the Memphis Shades Batwing.

I will also add..... the Harley Davidson windshield is made of Lexan vs. the LRS being made of a rugged Polycarbonate which does not scratch as easily.

Hope that helps!

I just switched to LRS recurve. I went with the 16" med tint. It does seem to help a little with the buffeting over the hd shield.
