With just over 800ml and and only a few fills, I've noticed my Slim's gas cap had been getting harder and harder to pry open.
But today it won't unscrew at all and I'm almost on empty.
I even tried one of them rubber jar thingie and even that didn't work.
Any idea's as to what might be causing the issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
----- EDIT----
Fast forward to present. And way to late for an update; four month's late (apologies), it may be worth considering if you're experiecing this issue, to try as follows... Has helped rid of my problem, which I believe was pressure that was not venting.
What I've been doin sice is after a fill, I screw the cap till it clicks. doesn't matter how many times you click it... I click once, then I turn the cap counter clockwise till it stops. But stop there before you start to unscrew again.
Hope this helps.

Sounds like your cap isn't venting properly and the vacuum is keeping you from removing the cap. I would disconnect the fuel line from the bottom of the tank to release the vacuum and replace the faulty cap.
Common problem on the Breakouts to. Mine I would turn and turn and after like ten turns it would finally loosen up and come off. Ended up getting a new RSD gas cap and no problems since. If I were you I would look into getting another cap.
I normally refill before reserve gets below 100mi so I can make it to the dealer. Doin that on my way in to work today.
Thought about the check valve, but I want them to see it the way it is so they can't say I'm nuts. LOL
Thanks for the input fellas!
will report back today.
Gonna see about a knurled edge cap cause I know that with that, not even all the back pressure in the universe's *** can't bring me to my knees LOL
When my cap was hard to get off I just smeared a thin film of grease on the gasket inside the cap. No problem for the last couple years. If vacuum is the problem you'll hear a sucking noise while twisting the cap off. JMO
Have had two tanks on my Breakout cause the first tank had runs in the paint. Both stock caps went bad after a while, got a Arlen Ness cap and everythings been great since.
