I have a Blackline with a motherwell rack on the back and I want to get a Flag mount to fly a flag on it. I'd to get a decent sized flag(read bigger than the standard Harley ones), but I have no idea how to mount it. I think the motherwell rack is 3/8" bars but I'm not positive.
How are you guys doing it? I found the GettysburgFlag.com site and like the idea of the 12x18" flag but the aluminum rod and lack of detailed mounting pictures make me nervous to order the whole kit and then find out that the rod is just going to bend, or that I don't have any use for the supplied mount.
I don't see too many bikes flying flags anymore for some reason. This includes me. I was just thinking about this a few days ago and may start doing it again. I did for some time after the terrorist attacks. I've had my bike since 2010 and haven't mounted a flag on it once.
