Default Brake Pad Life

What are you all seeing in terms of stock brake pad life on your scoots, in general and specificly for the Slim? I know it all depends on braking habits and what not, but just in general.

8000 miles?
10000 miles?
More?
Less?

I changed my rear pads @ 16000 just because I had the rear wheel off. Still had some life left in them. Fronts where changed around 14000.

I just changed the front and rears on my 08 Night Train that has 9500 miles on it. They were only about 15 % worn, but I was in there anyway doing other work, and still learning what is worn and what is ok.
Felt dumb sorta for changing the pads, but had them there, and the calipers were off.
15% with 9500 miles is not bad at all

I pay attention to my tire life, I replace pads at that time without a blink.

Change the pads when you change the tires, that way you do not worry about the rotors.

On all my bikes, the brake pads get changed when the tires are replaced. System works well. SJ Ron
