I've seen some clips on YouTube when I was doing research on Samson cholos and noticed when some guys were filming their exhaust, that the rear lights would pulsate almost to the rythem of the exhaust. I am wondering what they are called and who makes them? Are they a wiring kit? Thanks
It might honestly be the video. If you look at a lot of the new LED lights on cars or cycles that are being filmed by a camera, the camera creates a pulsating illusion(might be the camera or might be the LEDs). This may or may not be what you're talking about but I've seen it on numerous youtube videos.
I had a "Brightasslight" on my Road King, it was terrific. They don't make one for the tombstone tail light on my Springer but I could get a run turn brake controller that would do it....Kuryakn make one...but I just do it with my hand on the front brake when I'm first in line at a light.
The Brightasslight has several pulse settings, perhaps one matches the cadence of a HD? I never checked.
If you're talking about a constant pulsating, not just when the brakes are applied, it's a result of the leds and the video camera.
They're not really doing that, they just appear to.
+1 on Onecoolpilot. It's the frequency of the LED's vs. the frame rate of the video. They don't match so it looks like it's 'flickering'. Next time you're watching TV and there's a TV in the show, it will do the same thing.
You can sometimes see the same thing on YouTube videos where there's a TV in the background.
I have mine set up like that as well as my rear blinkers. Its a module that you wire in and yes, I have a tombstone tail light. I can't for the life of me remember the name though. Goggle motorcycle pulsating brake light and see what comes up. There was one just a few weeks ago on this forums front page.
EDIT: And yes again, it's only when I hit my brakes.
