Default Front wheel problem!!

I took the front wheel of my heritage out to adjust my fender. Now I put everything back, the wheel does not move once I fully tighten the axle nut. It moves freely if I loosen it up. I put everything (spacer on one side and chrome bowl on the other side) the way it came out. What could be causing it?

loosen it ... then slowly start to tighten the wheel while looking at how the brake caliper / disks rub the brake disk... does the brake disk start to put pressure on the brake disk?... if so... perhaps the brake caliper is misaligned

also... are you using the torque wrench to tighten the nut? proper torque on the wheels is a life or death matter..

The wheel does not move even with the caliper off. Only way it moves freely is if the axle nut is hand loose!!

Is there a spacer behind the hubcap that may have become misplaced?

Sounds like you are applying inward pressure to the inner bearing race, the part of the bearing that the axle goes thru. Usually caused by one or two things. Wrong outer spacer or too short of an inner spacer. If you did not remove the bearings then it should not be the inner spacer, aka crush spacer. If the spacers are in the right place then it doesn't matter how much torque you put on the axle nut, the wheel should still spin freely.

Plus1 on that spacer. If all spacers are in the rim between the bearings it don't matter how much you tighten the axle. It should spin. It's a floating axle.

Check to see if the chamfer or radius on the face of the spacers is bigger on one side then the other side and face the bigger side in towards the bearings.

Yeah, it had to be the spacer.
