I'm hoping the new models will be substantially different from the rest of the line up. There are too many bikes thatare only minor variations ofthe next. That's why, to me, the WG (and the Springer) is so special. Nothing in the current H-D catalog comes close. Including the FXSTC.
Thanks for all the info people. Y'all helped me make up my mind.I can't ride either one right now where i'm at but I knew I wanted one or the other. Gotta go order the FXSTCnow to get the special price they give us. MayGod bless America and punish our enemies.
Why on earth would they kill the Wide Glide? I thought the Wide Glide is one of H-D's signature bikes, a little more chopper like than the SG's?
And how would anyone know that the Wide Glide is goin away? I didn't see any great preditions about 6 speeds here, nore did I hear any great prognostications about 96" motors. The motor company is about as tight as the Federal Reserve. Unless you can tell me where you heard this I'm not buyin' it.
Also, the paint chart has been released for the 08's.... the wide glide is not on it nor is the standard.... along with a few others. I would feel comfortable with thinking it's not going to be around for 08.
