Hello all. So earlier this spring I replaced my factory gas caps with some low profile caps I bought for cheap money online. Well here we are 6 weeks later and one of the caps is stuck in my tank and I can't get it out. It is a 2 piece cap and somehow loosened itself so the top chrome plate spins and the plastic screw in part of the cap doesn't move. Running out of ideas on how to get the damn thing out. Any thoughts?

I tried to contact the seller through eBay where I bought it but no reply. I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. The caps are not marked and didn't come packaged in anything with a brand name on it.
I'd use a tiny self tapping screw to make sure it caught the entire cap so it didn't slip, then I'd send it back to the bastid that sold it to me.
Edit: or use a drill bit to get through the outer shell only, and then a small screw to grab the both inner and outer. Should twist right off.
