Gas cap issue
Stopped and got gas last night and when I was screwing my cap back on it kept looking like it was cross threading and leaning toward the outside of the tank some and not seating.i didn't force it. Kept removing it and retrying.the threads on the cap look perfect.could I have cocked the part that hangs down in the tank with the hole in it a little?i don't really let the gas nozzle put much pressure on it at all.i generally hold it straight up.

I had a problem with mine when I bought it last year, it didn't seem to go on properly and at times would not come off at all. I was stuck at a gas station once fighting with the damn thing and it wouldn'y budge. I finally brought the bike back to the dealer and they just gave me a new cap and said they've had trouble with caps lately. No problems since.
