Default Softail lowering kit

I've ordered one of these kits: -

http://www.blazingbikes.com/

Anyone got any experience of this kit. I like the fact I don't need Arnie to pop round to depress the shocks to fit it!

Also does lowering a Softail 2" make much difference to the ride?

Thanks

If you are riding on a flat, straight road, you will not notice any difference in handling.

Not a great endorsement.....how is the handling on a non-perfect road?

The ride is fine. I never ride two up but from what I've read on here it's rough with two people onboard. If you ride two up a lot you'd be better off looking into progressive 422's or a shotgun setup

You lower any softail 2 inches and it will bottom out way to often.go 1 before you go 2 and see if it suits you first.

I had the 1.5 kit on mine and it was okay for solo riding. But for two up riding the bike would bottom out a lot. If you want to take the time to adjust your preload before and after two up riding have at it. Other wise I would suggest either the Shotgun Shock or the Progressive 422 Rap's.

This is a cheap way to achieve a look. If you are looking for performance and ride comfort, you need to consider the shock. As mentioned above, SS or 422's will get you the height without sacrificing the ride.

If you ride twisties at all, lowering the bike, even 1", sucks. These bikes, even at stock height, are crippled in lean angle.
