Default FatBoy front wheel install

I've just got a new front tire installed and I'm in the process of reinstalling the front wheel on my 2012 FatBoy. I have a question regarding the right side slider, does it go tight to the spacer on the axle or does it go tight to the outside (7/16" drill bit in axle)
Thanks in advance.

I am not sure I am understanding the question but unless the service manual says differently ( I do not have a bike with the new "hollow" axles) then the 7/16" hole should be level to the ground and the hole edge flush with the flat on the outside of the fork (you can use a drill bit to gauge it but I eye it myself!) and the axle TORQUED to the proper number to achieve bearing preload. Any grooves or markings on the spacers should be toward to outside of the wheel.

To bring the slider edge flush to the 7/16 hole I'd have to pull the sliders apart. If I just torque it where it sits there's a gap between those 2 points.

Nothing in the service manual states to align to the 7/16 hole. Install your axle and spacers torque to 60-65 ft lbs then tighten fork caps s to 132 to 180 inch lbs. No mention of aligning slider with 7/16 hole. BTW the gap between my front hub and slider on the left side is about 1/8 or less of and inch.
