I'm in the cut down corner, I can't stand the stock windshield, the top is right on my line of sight and the curvature distorts my vision. I wish it was either taller or shorter it just doesn't work for me.

Or you could do what I did and buy a Cleartastic shield (10% discount for forum members) or a cheap on on eBay which was about $100 IIRC. I can look up who sold me mine if you want. Cleartastic is a lot nicer, thick and the recurve is nice, but it costs quite a bit more.
I used a jig saw with a fine tooth blade, marked off the cutting area with blue painters tape and left the shield on the bike. Took just a couple of minutes. I cut down the shield on my FJR, Concours 14 and 3 Concours 10's. Easy to do, just take your time
My 2014 came new with an 18" shield, and my 2013 which I bought pre-owned with 600 mi. had a 23", which I cut back with a 15-18 tooth jigsaw and LOTS of blue masking tape to 18"-perfect for my 5'8" frame...

I got it cut at Delray Cycles a few years back and transferred the windshield to my 15 when I sold the 12 so that I didn't have to get a new one cut down.
