Default Deuce Solid rim: 17" AND 18" types?

Hi,

I bought a used Deuce solid wheel on Ebay, to powder-coat black and stick on my Dyna.

Question is, did they make it previously in 18", and now 17" to fit on other bikes.

Additional info which leads me to this question:
HD has on their website a brand new Deuce wheel, and dimensions are 17" (they don't say 4.5 or 5.5 however that I could find). The site fitment guide says it fits on my 2011 Dyna Wide Glide (FXDWG) , no problem. My current stock wheel is spoked 17"

However, I've got Bully progressive shocks that slam the bike 2".

So I measured the Deuce used wheel I got, and its 18 x 5.5? I assumed it would be 17", like the new one on the HD website and would fit with 25mm bearings or kit HD sell. But now, I don't think that will fit on the bike without switching shocks out again, they don't adjust height wise. Dont want to do that! And don't want to order a new tire, get it mounted, and find out I'm screwed.

Help!

The Deuce rear stock wheel has always been a 17x4.5 which is also the same size as many year Dyna's. As far as I know it never came stock with an 18x5.5. It is possible someone got an 18x5.5 aftermarket wheel with a 180 tire on it. I sell that for Deuces all the time.

Use an Avon Cobra 180/55/18 on there for easy fitment. Post a pic and I can tell you if it is an aftermarket wheel. Sounds like you might have really scored.

Ok, I screwed up. The tape measure said one thing, but the rim has an imprint that says its HD and 17x4.5.

Now the issue is, does Avon make any tires to fit this rim? I can't find on Avon or Metzler site. What size options do I have, stock and maybe maximum, without any mods.

Thank you for your help.
