Debuild....kinda,06 softail fat tire 96 S&S
I've got a sweet custom built bike
It's built on a 2006 softail frame
Stretched 4 inches and raked at 37
While I like the bike...it's in for some changes!
I really miss my decked out deuce I had years ago
So.....my goal is to make this baby as close as possible ..
Although. ..it will be raked and stretched
She has an aftermarket electrical system (wire plus)
80 spoke wheels21x2.5 in front and 18x10.5 in rear
S&S 96 super stock..Evo style
Baker RSD 6 speed
To start...
I'm looking to do a nice 2 up seat
Maybe change tank
Factory Harley electrical system
Pipes..really like the vh radius. ..
Anybody have any idea's on this?
I'm sure this is out of the ordinary. ..but what the hell
It's paid for and only has 1600 miles on it!
I like the pro pipe and thunder header also...but...not really that eye catching...
Style wise...Hmm mm
Kinda duecie.....on the custom side
Need to be able to do 2 up
And some distance rides...so comfort needs to be figured in
While...it not to bad right now in that department!

It probably will be cheaper in the long run if you sold the bike and used that money to buy a Deuce because that is what you really want.
I just don't care for the system on it,but I can live with it
The rest on the stuff shouldn't be to much of an issue though
Mostly cosmetic. ..
Like in said ,This one is paid for...and it's got a lot going for it
Just lacks a few Suttle changes to be where I'd like it
Don't really wanna give up the s&s or the baker 6

Looks like the fender is drilled for a 2-up seat, but you will be limited on what seats you can use because of the stretched tank...and you may find the strutless fender kinda flimsy 2- up.
As far as changing tanks, you will be limited on what tanks will look right because of the stretched frame.
What is wrong with the present electrical system? Kinda lost on what you will gain by changing.
Your exhaust choices will be limited by the right side drive.

The rear fender will easily support a rider
The thing is massive attached with several 1/2 inch bolts
Pipes....I know...rsd
I guess what I'm looking for is a little more two person friendly
Which shouldn't be that difficult
Tanks and fenders.....we'll see
The seat....I know the normal softail will work, just have to moce the rear nut or make a longer rear tab

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Tank/Paint: $1000+
Pipes: $700+
Electrical System: $300-400
Seat: $300-500
Misc: $500+ (trust me)
Why not take all that money, plus whatever you can get for the bike you have and buy another deuce since you loved it so much. Working on custom bikes like that is the most time consuming and expensive thing you can do, I see it day in , day out.
