I have a two inch 2-1 Rush and though it was perfect new, it is now much louder
I know. That's what worries me. They're already damn loud (I like it, my neighbors probably won't.) I think I'm going to order up some 1.75" baffles. It's too bad though, the bike runs great with these pipes. After two solid autotunes on the PV, not a single pop on decal.

Pipes are a personal choice, so go with what you like. But just so you know, the catalytic converters are in the mufflers. If you like the look of the stock pipes, slip-ons will open it up just as well as most aftermarket full system exhausts. It might save you some cash.
Keep us posted on your kids and experiences.

Yes, the stock seat sucks. This is true with a lot of Harley's, although they have improved stock seats on several models. Unfortunately, the small thin seats in bobber styled bikes just don't cut it
Cheers
Be advised, while I do love my spring seat from Mother Road Customs, their hardware is not the best design. Don't get me wrong, once installed it is strong and works well, but Lapera and even Harley-Davidson make mounts that install easier, and are easier to take off and on for work under the seat.
On the good side, MRC does excellent leather work and their seat shapes are very functional.
Also, although I find the seat very comfortable, it's not the soft surface that one would expect from a normal seat. Even with the gel/foam cushion, the surface is firm (not hard, but firm.) the comfort comes from a seat shape that fits my ****, and the springs that absorb the sharp suspension jolts.
Damn the neighbors. They suck anyways
