Does cooler weather really enhance engine performance?
So to get to the point, it is better to have a charge of coll fresh air going into the fuel intake... Rather than that hot oily watered down air coming from the crank case then?
BTW, I got green hairs growing on my palm, what's that about?
It would be 3.3% but who is really counting.
My appeal to cold weather riding is that I don't have to scrape bugs off the front end of my bike after a ride. Also I'm so bundled that I have my own cushion of additional protection.
My carbed EVO use to really run smooth and strong whenever it was cold out. I'll have to test my EFI 103 to see if there is a difference I can feel. We are being hit with some real cold mornings now that it's fall. Not going to get any better for about 6 months ...Ugh!

Agreed!
But I'd never be in an icing situation. I limit my salt road riding to maybe a chance ride over winter, or early spring if we don't get a rain to help wash the salt away before it's warm enough to ride. I live on a dirt road that becomes a mucky mess at times ... that also limits when I can ride it.
I even store my ride in it's trailer to keep the moist salty melt down from my vehicles in the garage from becoming airborne and causing moisture and rust on my Classic. I swear a few times during the winter I just want to haul myself somewhere I can ride for a while.
