Don't worry about what the parts guy says. Get the parts and put them on. I have the same shield on mine, with same parts. Harley should make this whole process much easier. It is like they don't want to sell them to slim users without passing lamps.
The one you are looking at does look cool. Bikes are like women. They all have something unique about them. If I could I would have 100 bikes. 100 women would be too much trouble.
