Hi gang, been in the Evo section for about a year now. Just sold the Evo and have a 2000 Heritage Softail Classic. The wife and I purchased it in January for her but she didn't do well with the class or my private lessons so It's mine for now. It has just about every piece of chrome that Harley makes and has been lowered and the big bore kit installed by Harley 6000 miles ago. I absolutely love the way it rides. Here what it looks like, I know it's sort of a common color but I have a thing for white bikes.

I'm an Evo convert as well, but I still hang over there for tech advice. Some great tech members over there.
That's a nice looking Scoot! Super clean.
Thanks JoeG, I am just the second owner, the first showed it and kept it in a garage in a Harley Bubble Cover. I'll still visit the evo guys, you are right, they are very knowledgeable over there.
Your 2000 looks to have been well maintained. Nice bike!
Couple points:
-Investigate and determine the condition of the Cam Chain Tensioners. This is a maintenance item that you Do Not want to neglect.
-The OEM oil pump on Twin Cam 88's can sometimes produce very low pressure at idle when the bike is hot. Purchase and install a oil pressure gauge to monitor the pressure. Oil pump upgrades are available.
-The Stator and Regulator on the 2000 are unique to that year only. It's a 3 phase system but the connector plugs are unique. If in the future you need to replace charging system components purchase from "Cycle Electric". Quality parts made in the USA.
-Your 2000 uses DOT 5 brake fluid. It is recommended to flush DOT 5 systems every 2 years.

Thanks for the info O. The cam chain tensioners were changed when they did the big bore kit, and the entire bottom end of motor was gone over because of a noise. I will get an oil pressure gauge, great suggestion. I will also do all fluids this winter including brake fluid. The previous owner changed the oil every 2000 miles and the oil is spotless. I will be making some other changes just so it works better for me, I have been thinking about a fairing and maybe some mini apes to bring the bars back a little closer.
