The reason they break is because people aren't changing to new bushings when they install the new bars. It has nothing to do with the risers being used
Actually if you talk to Burly or Wild1 or any of the bar manufacturers, they HIGHLY recommend the one piece clamp. I also would highly recommend it.

and it was not a dumbass comment, maybe you ought to try being a little less confrontational...

First off "apes are supposed to use a 1 piece clamp or else the risers will break" is a dumbass comment because its simply not true. Use that Google thing your friend mentioned and you'll find WAY more examples of folks using stock or 2pc risers without issues than you will of people with broken risers. Second of all I merely asked a question and got a response that Im basically dumb and need to learn how to use Google. Yet im the one that's confrontational? Third of all your recommendation means exactly nothing to me. Who are you again and what handlebar manufacturer do you work for??? And last but not least I did speak to Carlini directly when I got my 16" apes and they not once mentioned or recommended a 1pc riser but instead recommended their 2pc diamond riser with the set screw. They did however recommend that I get new bushings which I did.

I guess Carlini one of the finer quality bar manufacturers doesn't know what they're talking about???

Apes or wide Beach bars, put great amounts of torque on your risers and clamps. When I bought my Burly Beach bars (40"), they told me I MUST use a 1 piece clamp when mounting. YMMV

Riser clamp, not risers.

I guess you do not know the difference between a riser CLAMP and a riser...

but thats OK...you be cranky old fart...I got ya...I talked to other reputable manufacturers and they all HIGHLY recommended a one piece riser CLAMP...

I do not work for any manufacturer...I simply offer what has been told to me by the manufacturer...because I would prefer the OP NOT have issues with his install...but hey...I wont get in your way of you puffing out your chest....puff away kind sir....puff away... *smh*
