2004 Heritage models

What is it that the 2004 heritage is Special... the different size motor it could come with the option of carb vs. Fuel Injected.. I have trouble finding the wire schematic for my 04 heritage. just wondering what all there is about the 2004 model that makes it tougher...

There were very little changes in Softails from 2001 through 2005. I highly recommend you drop $50.00 bucks and purchase an 04 Softail Service Manual from Harley.

The (04s) are not special and they are not Tougher. Some say the 00's and 01's are because of the Timk crank bearings and forged crank which the 04 doesn't have....

When I purchased my '05 Fatboy, I was given the option between carb and fuel injection.

Same TC88 motor with just different intake configuration.

Did the heritage model have a anniversary model that year? I know that the Fatboy had one in 05 which had a 1557 cc engine vs the 1450 but I was unaware that the heritage model had one in 04? But if I remember right the only difference in 04 was the option between EFI or carb...
