Damn, you guys are beating this guy down and now much to be said about it. I think they look good. what kind of risers are they
Dude, nobody is beating the OP down in any way. He asked for opinions and that's actually all what it is about...exchanging thoughts and opinions. And the comments of the OP show that he respects this very well.
The only one having a problem with it seems to be you! Or why are you bashing people just expressing their .02? If you can't accept anyone having a different opinion or taste than you, just move on!
I agree a little with what everyone has said. I think those style apes along with Rocker B's apes look good on a Breakout. I also think apes do change the whole style of the Breakout. I have seen 10" apes that look nice as well. If I were to go with any, that would be the size I would go with on a Breakout. Just suddle enough not to change the entire style of the bike. But that is what makes each bike our own.
I like the way they look on your bike, I think the tapered lines towards the headlight work well with the front end. I'm not the biggest fan of the sharp angles on the bars, but that's just me. I like em on your bike.
We have both screwed up original styling. I put apes on a train. But who cares its your bike. Its you who gets the privlege of seeing it everyday and riding it. I think it looks great. I break a lot of harley rules. I enjoy color vs black. Chrome is not my favorite accessory. But I still own 2 harleys and I ride at least 1 time a month all year. Even when the high is gonna be in the 20s. We r bikers that's all that matters.
Any plans to move the speedometer to the tank? That is the number one thing I dislike about a Breakout. Either go with something like a Softail Custom dash speedometer setup or if you want to stay low profile, maybe a Wide Glide speedometer and dash could work. I think that would look better with the apes. If not, mount the speedo on the handlebar clamp, sticking up ahead of the bars like a Sportster.

Geee that's one of the things I really like about the Breakout, the speedo not mounted the typical Harley on the tank set up.....go figure, different strokes I guess.
