Default Oil line tool, o-ring tools needed

I've a 2009 FXSTC. Need to replace the starter drive. So I need the o-ring and oil line removal tools. Does anyone know where to get or can lend or rent these tools?

I bought this from Sears.

VERY easy to use. Gently pull the round chrome oil line cover, It is held on with an O ring. (I put a drop of motor oil on the chrome line where the cover has to slide). Find the right size Sears tool and press in gently. The oil line will pull right out.

I have done this 3 times (to the oil "in to tank" line) since I use a home made puck and do a complete (scavenge) oil change each time, no leaks.

Jetfever, tell me how this complete scavenge oil change is done. It sounds like the proper way to do an oil change.

Default Softail complete oil change

Here is the correct vid for a Softail.

Watch how the oil line is removed, but add a few drops of oil to the cover so it slides off easily. (Use motor oil, WD40 and some solvent oils will degrade the cover O ring).

I made my own puck cheap. If I find the directions for this Ill post them, or you can buy a puck.

I use a zip tie on the clear plastic "exit hose" line to prevent it popping off while the engine is running. (you could use a hose clamp). I also use a large plastic CLEAR Gatorade bottle (the suitable container) to contain the dark oil, with 2 holes in the screw on lid. One for the clear plastic oil line, and a second hole so air can escape.

After 28-32 Oz of oil, you will suddenly see clean golden oil in the exit hose. Stop the engine. Refill oil tank.

I recently purchased the oil scavenger from Rogue Chopper. It comes with the oil line removal tool. It is a 3/8" AC line removal sleeve. The O'ring tool you speak of is not available separately. When you purchase new oil line retainers, the tool comes inserted in the retainer. I had a hell of a time replacing these. Ended up having to take the rear O'ring off of the retainer tool and set it in place with a dental pick-like tool. Then I was able to set the retainer in place with the spacer and last O'ring using the tool. You do not need to remove these in order to pull the oil tank. Just the oil line removal tool.

I found a thread via Google that describes how I made my high quality Perma-Cool oil puck:

I just plugged the outside hole with JB weld and skipped the 1/8 pipe plug. The directions here have you tap and thread a permanent plug. Either way works great.

Thank you Jetfever and Bone Doc.

That looks like the best way to do an oil change.
