License relocation kit bulb replacement help needed!
So I just noticed today that one of the two license plate bulbs is burnt out. Now I referenced the bulb in the service manual but for the life of me I can't find a replace procedure anywhere. It's appears like the clear lens is rivited to the housing, but I could be wrong. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome.... Stupid lights!
I suppose I will need to talk to the dealer...I literally just replaced the turn signal kit that attaches to the license plate relocation. After testing all the signals i realized the license plate bulb fault. Originally, the left signal relocation bullet housing snapped at the threads on the bar. I was able to get the part replaced on warranty. If this license plate light unit isn't servicable, I will have to attempt to warrenty that as well. Ugh! I don't want to sound like a demanding douchbag.
David, I hope I'm wrong, but I keep seeing assembly replacement. May as well call the dealer/parts guy.
You may very well be right, which would be a huge disappointment. It's like a gremlin dropped a grenade on my rear end...rear turn signal brakes off and lights going out on a non-servicable light housing. Who was the genius who designed that accessory...seriously? I have been putting off dropping by the dealership...instead I decided to visit the HD Museum in Milwaukee.
