I’ve been on a quick learning curve with this as well. Basically, you just have to find a bar you like that has the ability to work with risers on a 4-3/4” on-center spacing. Of course if you want a 1” bar you can use anything you want as long as it has the base width to fit.
Since I like the old school look, when I put apes on my Springer, after doing my research, I got mine from Wild 1. I found that the older that I got, the more that I wanted to sit upright and after I put apes on my bike, I felt much more comfy when I rode because I didn't have to learn forward any more.
