All good advise and much appreciated. I've been following SLV's build for a while now, impressive work he does. I plan to ride her stock during the break in period and in March I'm going to add a set of Todd's 1.5 10 inch strip bars, a 2 into one exhaust (still not sure which way to go, Thunderheader or ??) a nice Roland Sands AC, FP3 or SE tuner and a swing arm saddle bag. Done...lol I bet they all say that...
Thanks. I appreciate the comments.
Although I love the olive gold and have no regrets, I am envious of the flexibility that black paint allows. I truly would have been happy with either color, but I would have gone full big-ape bobber with a black bike.
If you like the Thunderheader style, you should look at the D&D Low Cat. They make a much higher quality product in my opinion. They sound great too.

Man I'm sure many can chime in more on exhaust choices. Those Thunders look kind of cool, I saw a 2-1 system in black on a slim and looks good!
IMO look for the best combination of what you like the looks of, sound and performance. Number one also has to be the quality of the product. The worst thing ever is putting an aftermarket part on your machine and it starts to rust or just looks cheap.....HD does such a nice job on their bikes with fit and finish it would be a shame to put anything less on them.
gr82bagn Great choice for sure.
I've always kept up on the proper maintenance on all my rides.
Also tried to maintain a certain amount of a showroom look.
My Slim was the first bike that, IMO looked great even when it
needed a bath. More riding time less cleaning time. Just my view
on what a enjoyable bike the Slim was for me.
Dude awesome! Welcome to the softail family and congrats on your new sweet ride. A lot of great advice so far and really cool your being so receptive to it.

Enjoy your new ride.
