Default S-Series production numbers. Anyone know?

As Harley Davidson billed the S-Series as being built in limited numbers I'm wondering if anyone knows how many have been built or are going to be built?
There seems to be a lot more Slim-S than the the Fat Boy-S around the world wide web that's for sure.
How many of each are on this forum I wonder?

I would imagine the limited number is the "how many we can sell" number.

"You keep buyin' 'em, we'll keep makin' 'em."

I agree with seeing more Slims than Fat Boys, but I didn't know if that just had to do with production cycles... i.e., crank out a bunch of Slims this month, then make the Fat Boys next month, or something like that. The Slim is cheaper though and a newer design that a lot of people like so they may just be selling better.

A limited edition involves a number on the bike as 1/xxxx. The total number of motorcycles must be known in advance, for example 1/500. MOCO mentions that these are limited editions, I don't believe it! it's just a marketing stunt at first in order to consolidate owners who have paid a premium for this motorcycle or moved up their purchases on the basis that those models would not remain for a long time on the floor being a "limited edition". Next, it's to test the interest of potential customers. No doubt that the interest is there and it would not be surprising to see a wider range of model "S" in the future.

Nothing special about the S models that make them a "limited" edition. They'll keep bringing them in as quick as they can sell them. I went to the dealer this past Saturday to spend some gift card money and they had two slims and two fat boys. Talking to the finance guy I know up there (I've bought 3 bikes from him) and he said they had sold one S on Wednesday the 24th and another just that morning and the four on the floor were to replace those. Doesn't make sense to keep that much stock of a "limited" edition

The info from the MOCO on their website about the 'S' says limited numbers, not limited edition. My dealer told me that they have made all they are going to make of these S series bikes and when they are gone they are gone. They didn't know numbers though and i dont know how true this is or if its a uk thing or just sales hype. This didn't have any bearing on myself getting one as I was in the market for a new Fat Boy anyhow and i do like that 110. I do think that it will spawn other 'S' models in time, maybe a rocket of a Dyna. It would still be nice to know how many are out there though.

The Fatboys are built in Kansas city now on the Dyna line. They are all built together at the same time.

Probably on Harley's page where it says "Welcome to the launch of the limited-production S Series."
