I am currently in winter project mode, and although I ran bare steel tins last year, I plan on painting it this winter. I have toyed with the idea of rootbeer brown paint, with beige/cream highlights (ie. Cream handlebars, sissy bar, etc) and pinstripes. I am curious what everyones thoughts are, and whether anyone has pictures of their softail with painted handlebars, sissy bars, etc. Here is a pic of the bike for inspiration:
Great photos of a good looking ride as is.
To answer your question.
Root-beer and Cream one of my all time favorite combinations.
Sissy bar, handlebars and exhaust black to match your seat.
If the black exhaust would not turn blue like the chrome that is.
Black and cream....Man, that just sounds wrong.
Brown is just a little too throw back IMO.
On big tire cars (hot/ratrods brown doesn't look good against the wheel rubber. Kinda like the "clash of the uglies" Not all browns, just rootbeer. If you had more fender than yea.
