I have an '07 night train, and when I put the solo seat on, there's a protective covering where the passenger seat covers the fender. I heard I can take it off w/a heat gun, but I also heard I should leave it on b/c the black denim finish scratches very easily. Anyone have any experience/thoughts regarding this? I don't like the look, but don't want to ruin the finish either.
i took mine off and spent about 45mins trying to get the damn thing off! It's pretty hard to get rid of but i just used a glue dissolvant and about 250 000 clean rags to do it. When the dissolvant starts to work the sticker go all gooey like silicone (but worse) and you need clean rags to get it off. Then i polished and waxed her back to perfect condition. Godd Luck!
