Default Solo Seat

When I took my two up seat off my Fatboy there is a protective plastic type sticker on the front half of the rear fender under the passenger seat area. It looks like it is to protect the paint from the bottom of the seat. I got a solo seat and I was wondering if that covering should come off or do should I leave it on so when I go back to the two up seat the fender will not get damaged?

I took mine off, I switch from two up set-up to stock seat solo occasionally and haven't had any damage...yet

The older Harleys (EVOs) used to get scuff marks on the fender from the seat. We used to put duct tape on the rubbing areas. I think it was a blessing when Harley started to put the clear film down.
