I've been watching ebay for a solo seat (Missed a BIN at $50 for a low profile solo seat today!!) I pulled the Sundowner seat off the bike tonight - have to get a small hole patched up on the seat and I plan to try to buff out the scratches / dull spots created by the stock seat over the long weekend. A question suddenly came to mind (actually 2 questions).
1) What do I needto do tomove the rear seat bolt for usewith a solo seat? Is the fastener accessed thru the underside of the fender? I plan to occasionally switch between the Sundowner, stock and solo seats.
2) What is a good polish / scratch remover I can pick up to do the fender buffing?? I have a small electric bufferI'd like to use for this job. Anysuggestions??
Get an additional seat bolt for the rear seat, attach it and, leave it for switching. It goes in from the underside of the fender with a fastener from the top side. I think I used a small piece of wire to bring it through from the underside. As far as a polish for the scuff marks, a light rubbing compound and, some wax should do it.
