Pointless to make it "like a cafe Harley" when it will never handle like one nor can you ever ride it like one. this is something you want to do to a Sportster or Dyna, not a lowered softail. wrong chassis and platform. This model will always be a drag bike in form and function.

I just checked the specs...the new CVO only has a 19'' front wheel...
yeh I do think the dual discs are good to have available in the parts dept now for anyone wanting that option on a softail / dyna. I'm also a big fan of inverted forks so that to me was a step in the right direction. but the lowers setup and the new fender bracketing is pretty ugly / messy. Nothing like the previous sleeker setup. they really could have done a lot better job with this visually.

The inverted forks are a big thing here. I always wanted to go that route with both my previous dyna and now my breakout and having a stock H-D option eliminates the guess-work about "will this fit" and bad reviews of company a, b, or c.

I'm sorry, but I can't stomach all of the gold (excuse me, "smoked satin") coloring on the bars and wheels- it looks hideous. Same thing with the cheap looking, station-wagon-fake-wood-grain trim on the tank. I don't mind the styling- but the coloring is horrible in my opinion. I hope it has a normal looking paint option. It reminds me of the crass gold crowns you used to see on the back windshields of caddies.

Most CVOs I've seen are to gaudy or flashy for me.

True that- the only other good set of inverteds i found for HD / choppers is from "mean street" in NYC. They make some really nice forks.
http://www.viciouscycleworks.us/ccp8...ory/meanstreet

They were an exclusive supplier to Big Dog Motorcycles. I have a set on my Big Dog Pro Sport (oddball bike model that came on an FXR-style Datek chassis, which I love) and they rock. I've seen used sets on ebay from time to time complete with triples.

Cerianis are great too but they don't have that HD look.

Love those styles too. But to me they look a lot like the ultima setups which make me kind of question their sourcing (not trying to doubt their reputation). The real interesting thing here is there is a stock setup that I am pretty sure will work with other breakout models (albeit the wheel size differences could play a factor). Either way...it will be a long-term thought on a new upgrade that will save me going the route of my dream forks.

I hear ya but definitely not ultima- you see a set first hand and you'll see what I mean. these guys were making the front ends before ultima came along.

check out this custom SSR Breakout- Super sweet Ohlins forks. one of a kind though...

And I thought the price was out of line, until I started looking at it - hell, if you get a stock Breakout with the color option, then build it up with some nice wheels, AC, pipes, etc. you can get to $22-23K pretty easily. The CVO adds TBW and cruise, the 110, cool paint (I think), the SE goodies, dual disks, inverted forks...whether that's worth another $4K is gonna depend on the buyer. I'd be all over it at $24-25K if I was in the market, but at $27-28, not so much.

Still a nice looking bike and it shows that HD is at least trying. I'd be happy if it showed up in my driveway tomorrow morning.

Agree, some goon calls it a café bike and everybody jumps on the bandwagon like its gospel.
