Have a 2016 heritage and from what I read the newer air filters have improved in air flow over the older ones.is it worth changing out to a performance cleaner on a bike with slip on mufflers and very mild cam.
Personally I would and a tuner of some sort. It would then be a stage 1, from the factory the bikes fueling is set on the lean side, so the tuner is needed to increase fuel and alter timing so the engine runs in safe parameters to match your mods.
yeh Nomad is right it will be helpful along with pipes and tuner as a whole set. most important part is the tuner module considering the cam and getting rid of the overly lean factory fueling.
If you really want a significant increase in speed and acceleration, swap the belt drive pulleys for 30t front and 68t rear. it's the biggest bang for buck upgrade on a stock bike, especially one with a mild cam, since the belt pulley change shifts your rpm ranges slightly higher and into more of an optimal range for the cam.

While the air flow may have been improved a bit Harley is still routing the nasty, hot, oily, oxygen depleted crankcase gas back in to the A/C which isn't the best thing you can be doing to your engine. Replacing the A/C with one that allows you to vent those gasses to atmosphere will certainly help with performance and longevity of your engine.
