So I installed the detachable H-D windshield on my Deluxe and can't figure out how to keep the throttle and brake cables from interfering with the right side mounting bracket and retaining clip. If I turn the handlebars far enough to the right the cables actually push the retaining clip up a bit. I'm not so much worried about it detaching the windshield retainer but more worried about the bracket rubbing into the cable over time.
I'm curious what other folks have done about this because anyone using this windshield on a Lux must have the same problem. Any advice would be appreciated.
My softail has three clips that hold the brake line in place on the back of the headlight tins. I would assume that the 2015 should have the same thing. This instruction sheet has some info on brake line routing. Check it out.
I've got a nacelle on mine and just recently changed out all my lines. I just tied them to the loop on the rubber guard from the front of the fuel tank. They don't go anywhere near my mounting bracket for the windshield now.
