Default Better value, Bad Boy or 02 Springer?

I found a Bad Boy in good shape with a Sceaming Eagle stage 3 and a 2002 FXSTSI Springer. Both around $7500 and both with about 17,000 miles. I like the Evo of the Bad Boy and the chrome Springer of the 02. Both are a day drive away.

Thanks for any opinions.

I vote the bad boy. But Im just not a chrome guy. Value seems about equal to me.

I think the Badboy would hold it's value better IF it is near showroom stock, and not missing any of the badboy only items...seat, aircleaner, etc.

I agree. Nothing sounds as good as a cammed Evo which it has apparently.

Go with the Bad Boy for two reasons.

First and foremost, it's a carbureted Evo. Yes I am biased.
Secondly, the Bad Boys are becoming more desirable.

Still, the condition of each bike should be the determining factor. The above only applies if they are both in good condition.

Thinking about selling my 96 Bad Boy. It only has 3600 miles. Yes, 3600 miles. I sold my 95 last year and need to get some cash. Hate letting it go, but...

While it's not my biggest regret in life, I do also miss my Evo. It sounds as a Harley should sound. Can't get my twin cam to sound as good despite several different combos of exhaust and baffles.

If you are basing a decision on buying a bike off of value, you are doing it wrong. You need to buy the one you like better, can see yourself riding more, etc.
